The Caritas Commission of the Archdiocese of Mbarara serves as the Social Services and Development programme of the Catholic Church, dedicated to improving the socio-economic life of the community in the spirit of charity and in the footsteps of Christ. With a mission to mobilize resources, deliver services, and foster integral development, Caritas Mbarara envisions harmonious, self-reliant, and self-supporting communities.

The Education Commission is committed to providing comprehensive guidance to the extensive network of educational institutions within the Archdiocese. Through effective networking and advocacy with stakeholders, the commission aims to uphold and transmit Catholic values and principles to the younger generation. Additionally, the commission works to preserve the transmission of Christian values and principles in all schools, ensuring that the educational mission of the Church is fulfilled in a holistic and impactful manner.

The Justice and Peace Commission of the Archdiocese of Mbarara is dedicated to fostering a peaceful, just, harmonious, and prosperous community for all God’s people, regardless of tribal or other differences. Guided by the Gospel values of love, human dignity, the rule of law, and peace, the commission works tirelessly to promote these principles in everyday relationships. Through comprehensive programs on good governance, human rights, and democracy, the commission aims to educate and empower individuals to actively participate in creating a just society.
