Duties

In broad terms, the members of the Personnel Commission, who are appointed for a renewable period of three years, are expected to:

• Advise the Personnel Secretary in handling issues pertaining to the employees of Mbarara Archdiocese.
• Study and interpret government labor policies as affecting employees of Mbarara Archdiocese.
• Ensure equity, understanding, and justice between the diocese and its employees.
• Periodically revise the conditions of service of employees in the various departments of Mbarara Archdiocese.
• Discuss the mode of recruitment to be used for finding the right people for different positions.
• Handle any other matters that may be referred to them by the Archbishop.
