ARCHDIOCESE OF MBARARA YOUTH APOSTOLATE ELECTS NEW LEADERS

The atmosphere at Kyera formation centre in Mbarara was memorable on Monday 30 th , June
2025 as young voters gathered to elect their new youth leaders at diocesan level. The election,
organized by the diocesan youth office in collaboration with diocesan authorities, aims to
empower young people to play a more active role in polices that promote their lives as good and
committed Catholics. During election of youth leaders in the Catholic Church, we see youth take
ownership of duties in a peaceful and passionate manner.

In a peaceful and democratic election, Mr. Darius Kamukama from Kishariro was elected the
chairperson diocesan youth. The election activity was crowned with the Holy sacrifice of Mass
lead by the assistant parish priest Our Lady of Perpetual Help Nyamitanga Fr. Julius Muhwezi
and the vocations director and the person in-charge of the diocesan youth office Fr. Sansio
Agaba.
