Communities

The Society of Missionaries of Africa has established three vibrant communities within the diocese:

• Tobi Kizza Community: Located in Nyamitanga, approximately three hundred meters from the Cathedral.
• Katete Parish Community: A dedicated group serving the parish community.
• Kitabi Parish Community: This community is in the process of establishing a retreat center and a community for elderly confreres.

Engagements

The confreres of the Society of Missionaries of Africa are actively engaged in various ministries including:

• Parish Ministry: Serving the spiritual needs of the local community.
• School Ministry: Involvement at St. Joseph’s Vocational School.
• University Chaplaincy: Providing chaplaincy services at Corpus Christi, Mbarara University of Science and Technology.
